Robert W. Marder, DMD
Dr. Marder received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1996.While at Tufts, he earned recognition and awards in the areas of dental implants and prosthetics (crowns or bridges for your mouth). Following graduation he went into private practice working alongside his father, Dr. Michael Z. Marder—a world-renowned clinician, researcher, and educator—at their New York City dental office. Dr. Marder is so dedicated to improving the oral health and smiles of individuals and families that he made it easier for patients to access his dental services. In 2001, Dr. Marder opened another dental office in New City, New York, near where he lives in Rockland County.
Dr. Robert W. Marder is known to promote proper dental care and hygiene. He provides a comprehensive approach to oral medicine while emphasizing the importance of good oral health and the value of the excellent dentistry that he provides, thus setting patients at ease. As a third generation dentist, he has been continuing this way of practicing dentistry since graduating dental school. He has achieved post-graduate training in cosmetic dentistry from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He also has advanced training in endodontics (root canal procedures) and completed a post-graduate program for implantology at New York University. Dr. Marder is resolute in his pursuit for unparalleled care for his patients and has accumulated hundreds of hours of post-doctoral educational courses on the latest in dental techniques and technology. Therefore, from a simple filling to complex root canals and full smile makeovers involving implants or veneers, Dr. Marder is able to offer more options for his patients.
Dr. Marder taught at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery from 1996-2008, eventually attaining the level of Assistant Clinical Professor. He developed a technique for restoring dental implants which was published in the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Marder gives back to the community by talking to children about the importance of oral health. He has donated his time and clinical skill with People to People of Rockland County, which is Rockland’s largest social service agency that helps the poor and the hungry.

Nancy, Registered Dental Hygienist
Nancy is a registered dental hygienist who has worked with Dr. Robert Marder since 2005. She attended Bergen Community College to study dental hygiene and graduated in 1989 with an associate in applied science degree.
Nancy has been working along with Dr. Robert Marder in the care of his patients to ensure a quality of care that the patients deserve and appreciate. It is important to Nancy to help her patients feel comfortable and cared for in a way that keeps them coming back. Her gentle touch and calming voice helps patients feel at ease in the dental chair. An open communication between Nancy and her patients helps them feel free to ask questions and fully understand the state of their oral health. It is equally important for Nancy and Dr. Robert Marder to work together in achieving optimal oral health for all their patients.
Besides priding herself in the care of her patients at work, Nancy is very proud of her husband and their three boys at home. She is very involved in her boys’ activities as well as staying involved in her own. When Nancy is not caring for her patients and her family, she enjoys playing tennis, skiing, gym time, and spending time with family and friends.
Alicia, Office Manager/Finance Coordinator/Patient Coordinator
Alicia is an office manager, finance coordinator, and patient coordinator in Dr. Robert Marder’s dental practice in New City, New York. Alicia is the first person that will greet you in this office. She recognizes that quality care requires effective communication and strives to partner with our patients to make sure that all of their dental office needs are addressed and taken care of. Alicia helps schedule appointments, coordinate financial arrangements, determine insurance benefits, assist Dr. Robert Marder, and find answers for patients’ dental care. Alicia is very excited to be a first-time mom to Benjamin and co-parent of Jared, Ethan, and Taylor with Dr. Robert Marder. She originally was a special education teacher for autistic children and brings her patience for people to the office and her family. She also enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, the outdoors, and exercising.
Mildred, Office Manager/Finance Coordinator/Patient Coordinator
Mildred “Millie” is an office manager, finance coordinator, and patient coordinator for Dr. Robert Marder. As part of our team, she is the first person that will greet you in our New York City office. Millie helps schedule appointments, coordinate financial arrangements, determine insurance benefits and find answers for patient’s dental care. She has been working in the dental field for more than 10 years. She loves working with and getting to know all of our patients to make sure that all of their office needs are addressed and taken care of. She loves spending time with her husband, John, her three daughters, and her grandchildren. Millie likes to collect old coins, stamps, and vintage toy cars. She also likes to buy and sell antiques.
